My journey in the tech industry started in 2005 when I landed in South Africa with Openwave Systems, where I was fortunate to be part of the pioneering team working on the very first Mobile Access Gateways at Vodacom.
Fast forward a decade, and I had the privilege of working with Openwave, during which I had the opportunity to lead the MEA region. My journey then took an exciting turn as I transitioned to Intel, where I assumed the role of leading its Pan African Telco API Practice.
More recently, I had the honour of collaborating with MTN, where I played a vital role in rolling out its API Development and Application Platform (MADAPI) across Africa. Simultaneously, I took on the position of Head of Partnerships for MTN’s Pan African B2B Marketplace initiative, Chenosis. Within my role at MTN, I worked on leveraging Mobile Network Operator (MNO) data within a robust regulatory framework to support use cases for digital Mobile Identity.
At present, I support Lawrence Twigg – our Regional CEO: Sub-Saharan Africa – as Executive Sub-Saharan Africa at Sekura.id, where I continue to contribute to the dynamic tech landscape in Africa and beyond.
